Responsibilities:

As a Parts Driver at Big Country Drilling, your primary responsibility will be to provide support in the drilling projects’ daily operations. This position is a seasonal field position, fly in/fly out based in Fort McMurray.  Your duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Operating a class 5 vehicle (with a trailer, on occasion) to pick up and deliver various products.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicle
  • Planning delivery routes and schedules
  • Complying with all applicable traffic and other relevant laws
  • Loading and unloading materials.
  • Follow all load securement regulations and policies.
  • Sorting materials and freight for delivery to various field locations
  • Assisting shop staff with organization of materials at the job site
  • Assist in keeping parts trailers/yard organized and clean
  • Assist in making sure all parts are checked and put away properly upon receipt and/or delivered to the proper people
  • Provide Purchasers with all packing slips, invoices and other paperwork related to the pickup and delivery of materials.
  • Communicating with Purchaser, Field Managers and shop staff using a mobile phone
  • Assisting other staff in the shop as needed

 

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • Valid Class 5 license with at least 3 years driving experience.
  • Must be able to provide a recent driver abstract if called in for an interview.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Physical fitness and stamina to withstand the demands of the job, including lifting heavy objects and working in challenging weather conditions.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to ensure clear and accurate information exchange.
  • Ability to work well within a team environment and collaborate with crew members to achieve common goals.
  • Adaptability and flexibility to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Willingness to follow instructions and adhere to company policies and procedures.
  • Valid oil field tickets (Willing to train the right candidate)
  • Willingness to travel as required.
