Summary of Position:
The successful candidate will be responsible for Shipping and receiving activities for our Strathmore, AB location. This will include maintaining inventory at desired levels, receiving in goods and stocking our inventory and helping the Purchaser organize and pack goods to send to site locations. This job posting is full-time, located in Strathmore, AB.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Reporting to Purchaser
- Monthly shop inspections
- Maintaining and organizing parts room inventory and or c-can inventory
- General Labour (small jobs around shop or yard allocated by Purchaser.)
- Lifting materials up to 50 pounds
- Housekeeping including but not limited to sweeping, tidying, garbage removal
- Small tool use- hand, air, and power tools.
- Operating machinery or equipment.
- Maintaining vehicle including, pre-trip inspection, fueling, etc.
- Ensuring load or materials being transported are secure.
- Notify Purchaser when stock inventory is low.
- Check inventories and submit to Purchaser when requested.
- Maintain a stock level that enables internal shop staff to complete their work without delay
- Make sure all parts are received using packing slips and put away properly upon receipt and/or delivered to the proper people.
- Help Purchaser organize and pack materials to be sent to various job sites.
- Parts run as required by Purchaser (occasionally when it is needed. Within local range.)
Minimal Skills, Knowledge and Ability Requirement
To succeed in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:
- No experience necessary (willing to train the right candidate)
- Experience in any industrial parts warehouse would be an asset
- Valid Driver’s License (Class 5 minimum)
- Skid Steer Loader Operator experience would be an asset (willing to train the right candidate.)
- Wheel Loader Operator experience would be an asset (willing to train the right candidate.)
- Working knowledge of MS Office
- Excellent communication and efficient at following instructions
- Outstanding organizational skills
